The fact that Omar was the last to walk off is kind of haunting considering he's the leader of the band, like he's saying "thanks, this was fun" one last time.... glad they're back.

Wayne was such a underrated front man and guitarist. The guy was absolutely talented and had awesome stage presence. Rest easy Wayne

A much as it makes me cringe to see Tera on stage "trying" to dance to their songs (which there is no "dancing" to be had. Its more throw ur body into the music) at least he was happy with someone before he died. I know they were both into drugs and thats what ultimately killed him 😢.... but after watching SEVERAL interviews with both of them, u can tell just by their body language that they loved each other at the time. No wonder she commited suicide later on. U really gotta love someone a $hit ton if u r gonna kill urself after they die. 😢 its actually very sad if u really think about it. R.I.P. WAYNE WELLS/STATIC...I still blast the hell out of their music to this day!

I can't believe it took me 21 years to see old footage and to find out they didn't have the X at the end of Ststic. 🤯🤯🤯 It was definitely a huge treat to come across this video and watch them when Tony still had his hair and before Wayne's hair was grown all the way out. And i love it when he says, "This ones for all the ladies" before Love Dump. LMAO! I love it! What an amazing video this is! Thank u sooooo much for posting this!

Deantoni is a great drummer, but doesn’t fit the Volta. The interruption during the breakdowns in In Absentia really detract from the performance. There’s a time to showcase your talent, but this one felt poorly timed and detracted from the song overall. IMHO. I loved him with ORL. Context matters I guess

in 97 i was the drum tech for a band that opened for static x (then just static) at the now defunct coconut teaser in hollywood. when they hit the stage i was blown away. i never heard anything like it. i might of got this demo that night or maybe at another gig but it was in my rotation til the album came out, and i was blown away even more.

I was able to catch Static-X at the Stone Pony in 2003. Skrape and Soil opened. Great show, packed room all grooving to the evil disco.

I was lucky enough to be at this show. I got free tix from my work (Tower Records on Beach Blvd) but had never seen these guys before. It was a great intro to the band. Plus, I only lived a few blocks away so I was able to get completely trashed.

Those choppy fast breakdowns are always the best TFOT riffs.

Statix-X demo man I swear they sounded good on everything. Not really a surprise though considering how well they sound live.

if jeremy was alive to do these types of soundscapes for frances the mute it would had been amazing but at the same time frances wouldnt had quite happened since its inspired by jeremy and his unfortunate passing
